The Rosa Lee Show at Talladega, AL
Guess what? I got more pictures to share this time!
I just did another show at Talladega, Alabama for the Birmingham Area Interpreter Training (BAIT)’s ASL Total Immersion Weekend at Shocco Springs. I was doing my one-woman show as well as my “Art of Storytelling” 2 hour workshop.
At first, I was kinda worried that my show might not fare well with some non-fluent ASL users but much to my surprise, I received a standing ovation instead! It is always comforting to know what kind of audience my show works well with. (Those who are not D/deaf, I mean. *wink*)
Anyhow, I definitely left Alabama with more than I first arrived. I had fun.
Here are some pictures taken over the weekend.

During the show.

After the show.

Getting some southern love.

Kayleen Pugh. She is person who coordinated my visit as well as an old college buddy of my mothers. Such a small world.

The workshop.

I went to the immersion weekend in Talledega and your show was the highlight of the entire weekend. I am a beginning level student - there were some things I missed/didn’t understand - but overall I understood and had a wonderful time. I could watch it over and over and not get tired of it. It was very eye opening and helped me resolve to continue my education in ASL. Please continue the wonderful work you do.

I have attended many workshops during total emmersion weekend in Talladega Alabama all of them were great but the Rosalee Show was outstanding. The Rosa Lee show was entertaining yes but educational full of “deep” meaning. I would love to see the show again. Thanks Rosa Lee Gillimore
